Can CTO do EDT (Electronic Data Transfer)?

Yes. Called CEDTS in California, all standard reports required by local and state regulatory agencies can be produced as electronic files that eliminate the need to submit printed reports.

In past years it was necessary for ChemTrak users in California to produce and transmit these electronic files on their own, using modems in their own computers to dial into their respective county offices. Larger operators often did this daily, sometimes to multiple different counties - still better than the old fashioned way, but nevertheless quite a chore.

In California, CTO eliminates this procedure entirely. Because all of your data is centralized on our Internet based servers, our system can create those transfer files for you and make them available to the appropriate county offices automatically.

This might take a moment to sink in for veteran growers and applicators in California. Regular monthly and sometimes daily reporting has been a requirement for more than 20 years, which has produced data records that, for one thing, provide overwhelming support to the conscientious use of pesticides. But the reporting aspect is still a chore that we've simply become accustomed to doing.

The reporting requirement is not going away - but with CTO the need to do it yourself does go away. CTO does it for you, it is vastly more convenient for both grower and counties, and this substantial feature is included in the basic CTO Standard package.

If you're not in California, stay tuned - as routine EDT reporting advances to your state or country, CTO will be able to support it.
