Can I work offline with CTO?Not at this time. However, two different concepts are under consideration.
The first is a relatively simple utility to let users download a set of their own data, converted from our powerful SQL Server database into the widely available Microsoft Access format. This data could then be used for simple additional backup or for an unlimited variety of personal custom reports using the easy Access report writer.
The more complex situation is, for example, a grove management company or a team of crop advisors, where in both cases a number of users would like to work offline and then synchronize their new data back up to the central CTO server.
This would be an extremely powerful feature. One new project at OCS is focused on the popular PalmPilot®, with an abbreviated web interface for CTO data entry and reference while working in the field.
